Álvaro Naranjo Villalonga

With a Degree in Environmental Sciences from the European University of Madrid and a Masters in Bioclimatic Architecture and Environment from the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Madrid he also has a Diploma in Advanced Studies from the School of Agricultural Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He has extensive experience -12 years- in private business in the renewable energy, waste and energy efficiency sectors, having participated in the development, financing, construction and operation of photovoltaic power, wind, solar thermal, biomass, biofuels and biogas projects, as well as various projects related to energy efficiency, solid waste and cogeneration.

Amongst the projects where he has developed his professional activity there are three of relevance: Environmental Restoration Project of the Valdemingómez Landfill (City Hall of Madrid), including landscape and environmental rehabilitation of 115hectares and the installation of a power plant with biogas, The solar thermal power plant Lebrija I, 50 Mwe, a 300 million euro investment in a 110 hectares project, The Linares Biomass Power plant, an 80 million euro investment that includes a cogeneration of 25 Mwe and a biomass power plant with 15 Mwe.

He currently combines his work in private enterprises with teaching various Masters (School of Industrial Organization, School of ConstructionArchitecture and Engineering PROY3CTA and International Business School Aliter) providing practical and business perspective on projectmanagement.
